Montana Alpine Guides has partnered with Bozeman Splitfest to bring you our Advanced Backcountry Splitboarding course!
Join a professional backcountry guide for a tour in Cooke City and learn exactly how they assess the terrain, the snowpack, and their objectives. This is the ideal trip for backcountry riders who are looking to step it up in the world of backcountry objectives moving toward peak riding descents. The focus of this tour is to teach through mentorship while simultaneously getting in some great riding in Montana’s best backcountry ski location. Participants must be able to ascend up to 4,000 feet in a day and have previous backcountry touring experience. Course will begin and end in Cooke City, MT. Lodging and travel is not included.
This Intro to Splitboarding Course is perfect to combine with a Level 1 Avalanche Course from Montana Alpine Guides.

Our Intro to Splitboarding Clinic will be held in Cook City, MT at the eastern end of Yellowstone National Park. This area is perfect for advanced backcountry travel techniques and navigation skills.
