GUIDED ICE CLIMBING
Cody-Southfork
Renowned as one of North America's premier ice climbing destinations, the South Fork Valley near Cody, Wyoming offers unmatched access to hundreds of frozen waterfalls in a rugged and remote canyon setting. With one of the highest concentrations of natural ice in the lower 48, the South Fork boasts everything from long multi-pitch classics like Mean Green and Broken Hearts to steep pillars, delicate smears, and hidden gems waiting to be explored.
Thanks to its cold, dry climate and reliable freeze-thaw conditions, the Cody area offers a long and consistent season—often running from late November through March. Whether you're seeking a challenging objective or a scenic introduction to ice climbing, our experienced guides will tailor the experience to your goals, skill level, and sense of adventure.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY
“Booked with MAG for a private guide and three days of ice climbing. Got set up with guide Lindsay Fixmer for the trip. Amazing guide! Thoroughly experienced, confident, and highly skilled climber but very modest. Excellent teacher with great patience. Ability to personalize the training/experience based on the climber and their needs, ability, and goals. Would absolutely work with her again in the future. Working with MAG was smooth and easy. Very responsive to email, punctual, and made a scheduling change without any problems. Gear (boots and harness) was all in great condition. Highly recommend this guide service!” – MIKE C.
